Coasteering is an adventure activity that emerged in the nineties in Wales, although there are traces of similar coastal explorations in history. Popularized by thrill-seekers, it combines several disciplines such as climbing, water jumping, swimming and exploring otherwise inaccessible coastal areas.
It's an outdoor activity where you follow the contours of cliffs and shores, without a boat or board, interacting directly with the natural environment. Coasteering can include jumping from rocks into the water, passing through sea caves, or traversing wave-swept areas. The emphasis is on safety, with qualified guides and appropriate equipment (helmet, neoprene suit, life jacket).
This activity offers a unique blend of sport, nature and adventure, perfect for lovers of adrenalin and spectacular seascapes.

The Odyssey Outdoor team has many years' experience in ootdoor activities, and came to the Crête several years ago. On this occasion, they discovered breathtaking landscapes and decided to share them with as many people as possible.
Discovering exceptional places for coasteering, the Odyssey Outdoor team decided to open a branch on the AKROTIRI peninsula, not far from the town of CHANIA in the west of Crete.
It's here that courses have been designed, created and equipped to offer unforgettable outings.
Close to the seaside resorts of MARINA, PLATANIAS and KOLYMVARI, Coasteering's courses are less than 45 minutes from these towns.
Ideally located on the AKROTIRI peninsula, not far from STAVROS and the international airport of CHANIA-LA CANÉE, they are a must for your stay in Crete. When you arrive on the island, or before you take your plane back home, you won't want to miss out on this must-do tour, which will leave you with memories for a long time to come.
